MEL Data Automation Officer Internship

About the role

The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) team at One Acre Fund is looking for a Data Automation Officer to join a six‑month internship. You will work on real‑world data from smallholder farmers, turning raw information into actionable insights that support agricultural productivity across Ethiopia.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and analyse primary data collected from farmers and market surveys.
• Develop visualisations and automated dashboards to communicate findings.
• Prepare concise reports that translate data insights into recommendations for the MEL team.

Required profile

• Degree or ongoing studies in Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience handling large datasets and performing data cleaning.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior relevant experience (ideally at least one year) is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in R or Stata for data manipulation and analysis.
• Ability to create data visualisations and dashboards.
• Report writing and presentation skills.
