National Multisectoral and WASH Data Management Consultant

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a consultant to design, deploy and maintain integrated data management solutions for multisectoral WASH programmes across Ethiopia. The role supports the development of digital data collection tools, remote‑access systems, geospatial analysis, interactive dashboards and interoperable data exports aligned with UNICEF and government standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement integrated data management solutions for national and sub‑national WASH interventions.
• Develop and customise digital data collection tools (e.g., KoboToolbox, ODK).
• Set up online and remote‑access data platforms.
• Conduct GIS mapping and spatial analysis to inform planning and emergency response.
• Create interactive dashboards and visual reporting products for management, advocacy and donor engagement.
• Ensure data quality, harmonisation, secure handling and interoperability with existing information systems.
• Provide technical support and capacity building to programme teams.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (master’s level) in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Project Planning or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in data management, information management or M&E, preferably in WASH or humanitarian/development contexts.
• Proven experience designing and managing GIS mapping and spatial analysis projects.
• Demonstrated ability to develop digital data collection tools and data visualisation solutions.
