Nutrition Officer (Fixed-Term) – Hawassa, Ethiopia

About the role

The Nutrition Officer will provide professional, technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the nutrition programme cycle, from development planning to delivery of results, supporting UNICEF’s mission to improve the lives of children and women in Ethiopia.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional, technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the nutrition programme cycle, from planning to results delivery.
• Conduct and update situation analyses for nutrition sectors to inform programme design and management.
• Contribute to the development of sectoral goals, objectives, strategies and results‑based plans based on nutrition needs assessments.
• Support programme monitoring, evaluation and reporting of nutrition results.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues and partners to ensure effective programme implementation.

Required profile

• Experience in nutrition programme development and implementation.
• Ability to conduct situation analyses and contribute to strategic planning.
• Strong technical and operational support skills across all programme stages.
• Experience in monitoring, evaluation and reporting of nutrition outcomes.
