Partnerships Specialist (Fixed‑Term) – UNICEF Ethiopia

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Partnerships Specialist on a fixed‑term basis to strengthen collaboration with key stakeholders in Ethiopia. The role will serve as the main interface for environmental scanning, knowledge exchange, resource mobilisation and policy influence, ensuring UNICEF’s visibility and impact.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the work plan for the assigned partnership area, delivering results on time and within budget.
• Identify, develop and broker new partnership and resource‑mobilisation agreements in line with UNICEF’s strategy.
• Receive and screen enquiries from potential collaborators and connect them with the appropriate UNICEF staff.
• Monitor the external environment for opportunities and risks, and share relevant information with the team.
• Act as focal point and resource for colleagues on thematic areas of strategic relevance for partnership development.

Required profile

• Proven ability to deepen collaboration with a wide range of partners.
• Experience in facilitating knowledge exchange and influencing policy.
• Strong understanding of the humanitarian and development context in Ethiopia.
• Capacity to work closely with UNICEF colleagues across programmes and locations.
