Partnerships Specialist (P-3) – Fixed Term – Addis Ababa

About the role

The Partnerships Specialist (P-3) will deepen collaboration with key stakeholders in Ethiopia, acting as a hub for environmental scanning, knowledge exchange, resource mobilisation and policy influence. The role supports UNICEF’s mission to improve the lives of children and women across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the work plan for the assigned partnership area, ensuring timely and cost‑effective delivery of results.
• Identify, develop and broker new partnerships and resource‑mobilisation agreements in line with UNICEF’s partnership strategy.
• Screen inquiries from potential collaborators and facilitate communication with relevant UNICEF units.
• Provide focal‑point support and expertise on thematic areas of strategic relevance for partnership development.
• Promote visibility of UNICEF and influence policy to advance the organisation’s mission.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree and experience in partnership development, resource mobilisation or related fields.
• Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including government, NGOs and the private sector.
• Strong analytical skills for environmental scanning and knowledge exchange.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
