Partnerships Specialist (P-3) – Fixed Term – Addis Ababa

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Partnerships Specialist (P‑3) on a fixed‑term basis to strengthen collaboration with key stakeholders in Ethiopia. The role will support environmental scanning, knowledge exchange, resource mobilisation and policy influence to enhance UNICEF’s visibility and impact.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the work plan for the assigned partnership area, ensuring timely and cost‑effective delivery aligned with UNICEF’s partnership strategy.
• Identify, develop and broker new partnerships and resource‑mobilisation agreements in collaboration with UNICEF colleagues.
• Screen and manage inquiries from potential partners, facilitating communication with relevant units.
• Serve as focal point and resource for thematic areas of strategic relevance, providing guidance to colleagues.
• Conduct environmental scanning and knowledge exchange to inform partnership decisions and policy advocacy.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree and several years of experience in partnership development, resource mobilisation or related fields.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including government, NGOs, private sector and donors.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with a results‑oriented mindset.
