Procurement Volunteer – Gain Hands‑On Experience

About the role

SOS Children’s Villages in Ethiopia is seeking a motivated Procurement Volunteer to support its procurement team. Working under the supervision of the National Procurement, Logistics, and Liaison Manager, you will gain practical exposure to procurement processes, vendor management, and supply‑chain procedures while contributing to the organization’s mission.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with clerical activities related to procurement processes.
• Arrange, file, and properly document procurement‑related paperwork.
• Participate in the collection of pro‑forma invoices.
• Facilitate the signing of procurement documents such as evaluations, minutes, and purchase orders.
• Check the consistency of procurement documents before printing and submission to the finance unit.
• Support the preparation, organization, and arrangement of procurement documentation.

Required profile

• Interest in procurement, supply‑chain, or logistics.
• Willingness to learn and work closely with an experienced procurement team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle administrative tasks accurately.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
