Programme Analyst (AFSIT) – P2

About the role

The UNDP Regional Service Centre for Africa (RSCA) is seeking a Programme Analyst (P2) to support the Africa Facility to Support Inclusive Transitions (AFSIT), a joint initiative of the African Union Commission and UNDP. The analyst reports to the AFSIT Programme Specialist and works closely with UNDP Country Offices, regional institutions and development partners. The role leads two regional projects: BRIDGE, implemented in Guinea-Bissau, South Sudan and The Gambia, and the Sahel project covering Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation of AFSIT programming and coordinate the regional BRIDGE and Sahel projects, including civil society toolkits, dialogue on women's political participation, and diaspora dialogues
• Organise continental peer exchanges on transitional justice and support the AU transitional justice women and youth platforms
• Coordinate country-level implementation with UNDP Country Offices in line with OSF and AfDB requirements
• Prepare and monitor annual workplans, budgets and implementation plans; track progress against results frameworks and indicators
• Contribute to donor reports, briefing notes and programme updates, and document activities in line with UNDP policies and donor requirements
• Engage with Country Offices, regional organisations, civil society and development partners, and organise multi-stakeholder meetings, dialogues and workshops
• Contribute to knowledge management, research and communications, and identify emerging priorities for AFSIT
