MEAL Coordinator

About the role

World Vision is hiring a MEAL Coordinator in Addis Ababa on a fixed-term local contract. The role covers programme design, monitoring, evaluation, learning and community accountability, and acts as the focal point for external engagement with government and partners across several Ethiopian regions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and redesign programmes, theories of change and annual plans, and develop costed MEAL plans with reporting schedules and data-quality controls
• Support ADPs to align outcomes, indicators and interventions with child well-being priorities and donor requirements
• Provide evidence, indicator definitions, measurement approaches and MEAL budgets for proposals, and support use of approved design and planning systems such as LEAP, APA and iMPAQ
• Coordinate routine monitoring, field verification and indicator tracking, and validate source records for completeness, accuracy and timeliness
• Analyse results against targets, explain variances and highlight risks through dashboards and review meetings
• Quality-assure reports and coordinate updates in iMPAQ and indicator tracking tables
• Coordinate baseline, mid-term, endline and transition evaluations, and convene quarterly learning sessions
• Support accessible information sharing, consultation, feedback and complaints mechanisms, and refer safeguarding and fraud concerns through designated channels
• Lead needs assessments, surveys and research, train data collectors, supervise fieldwork and coordinate data cleaning and analysis
• Strengthen the capacity of ADP MEAL Officers and partners through coaching and training
• Act as the focal point for government and partner engagement, including project appraisals, joint monitoring visits and representation in technical working groups
