Programme Coordinator – Joint Labour Migration Programme (JLMP)

About the role

The Programme Coordinator will support the Joint Labour Migration Programme (JLMP) – a collaborative initiative of the African Union, ILO, IOM, GIZ and UNDP – by overseeing day‑to‑day activities, ensuring alignment with the programme’s objectives and facilitating cooperation among partners.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate implementation of JLMP activities across participating countries.
• Maintain regular communication with the African Union, ILO, GIZ, UNDP and other stakeholders.
• Monitor progress against the 5th Key Priority Area of the Declaration and Plan of Action on Employment and Decent Work for Youth.
• Prepare and submit periodic reports, data analyses and documentation required by partners.
• Support the organization of meetings, workshops and capacity‑building events.

Required profile

• Open to first‑tier (internal and non‑represented IOM Member State) and second‑tier candidates.
• Preference for qualified female applicants.
• Experience in programme coordination, preferably within migration, labour or development contexts.
• Ability to work in a multicultural, inter‑governmental environment.
