Project Assistant – SRHR Next Alliance (Ethiopia)

About the role

The Project Assistant will support day‑to‑day implementation of the SRHR Next Alliance project across selected woredas in Ethiopia. Working closely with local government offices, health facilities, schools and community groups, the role aims to improve access to youth‑friendly, gender‑responsive and disability‑inclusive sexual and reproductive health services.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning, organization and implementation of approved project activities in line with workplans, budgets and Amref procedures.
• Maintain regular working relationships with woreda health offices, health facilities, schools, youth structures and women‑led organisations.
• Assist in coordinating meetings, trainings, community events and outreach activities, including participant mobilisation, venue preparation and attendance documentation.
• Conduct frequent field visits to assigned woredas to monitor activities, gather data and ensure quality implementation.
• Support routine monitoring, documentation, reporting and logistics for project activities.
• Follow up on agreed actions and track progress across all assigned locations.

Required profile

• Experience in community‑level project implementation or health‑related programmes.
• Ability to work effectively with local government, health facilities, schools and community groups.
• Willingness to travel frequently to field sites and work in remote settings.
• Strong communication, documentation and coordination skills.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
