Project Assistant – SRHR Next Alliance

About the role

The Project Assistant will support day‑to‑day implementation of the SRHR Next Alliance project in Ethiopia. Working closely with local government structures, health facilities, schools, youth and women‑led groups, the role aims to improve access to quality, youth‑friendly, gender‑responsive and disability‑inclusive sexual and reproductive health services.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning, organization and implementation of approved project activities in assigned woredas, following workplans, budgets and technical guidance.
• Maintain regular working relationships with woreda health offices, health facilities, schools, youth structures, women‑ and youth‑led organisations and community leaders.
• Assist coordination of meetings, trainings, community events and outreach activities, including participant mobilisation, venue preparation and attendance documentation.
• Conduct frequent field visits to monitor activities, gather data, document progress and follow up on agreed actions.
• Support routine monitoring, documentation, reporting and logistical arrangements for project activities.

Required profile

• Experience in project implementation and field coordination, preferably in health or development settings.
• Ability to travel frequently to field sites and work in remote locations.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with government officials, health workers, community groups and partners.
