Quality and Operational Excellence Manager

About the role

People First Consult is recruiting on behalf of a confidential manufacturing client for an experienced Quality and Operational Excellence Manager. The role will lead quality assurance, food safety, occupational health and safety, and drive continuous improvement and innovation across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and maintain ISO 9001, ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000 management systems and certifications.
• Oversee quality assurance, food safety, product compliance, laboratory testing and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Manage occupational health and safety programmes, incident investigations and emergency preparedness.
• Drive process optimisation, waste reduction and innovation initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science, Chemistry, Printing or Packaging Technology or related field.
• 7–10 years of manufacturing experience, including at least three years in a managerial role.
• Proven experience maintaining ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000 certifications and leading external audits.
• Lead Auditor certification for ISO 9001 and ISO 22000/FSSC 22000; HACCP certification required.

Required skills

• ISO 9001, ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000 standards implementation.
• HACCP system knowledge.
• Lead Auditor competency.
• Experience in FMCG, food and beverage manufacturing or packaging materials.
