About the role

The Business Analyst Club is seeking a full‑time Reporter to produce news articles, reports and multimedia content that highlights developments in business analysis, technology and data‑driven decision‑making. Based on‑site in Bahir Dar, you will work closely with club members, subject‑matter experts and event organizers to keep the community informed and engaged.

Key responsibilities

• Research and gather information on industry trends, club initiatives and relevant events.
• Conduct interviews with professionals, members and experts.
• Write clear, accurate and timely news articles and reports for the club’s platforms.
• Produce multimedia assets such as photos, audio clips and short videos to complement stories.
• Fact‑check all content and revise drafts based on editorial feedback.
• Suggest new story angles, series ideas and content formats that support community engagement.

Required profile

• Strong reporting and news‑writing abilities with a focus on accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Solid research capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Commitment to journalistic ethics and fact‑checking standards.
• Experience in journalism, media or business‑related reporting is advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, Business or a related field preferred.
• Ability to work on‑site in Bahir Dar, manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
