About the role

We are looking for a creative Cinematographer to join Ultra Communication’s team in Addis Ababa. The role focuses on planning and executing video and film shoots that showcase our advanced optical communication technologies and brand story. You will work closely with directors, producers and technical engineers to deliver high‑quality visual content.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, storyboard and schedule video and film productions for product demos, interviews and narrative pieces.
• Operate professional video cameras and select appropriate lenses and accessories for studio and field shoots.
• Design and set up lighting, manage exposure, color balance and visual consistency across all footage.
• Collaborate with directors, producers and engineering teams during pre‑production and production meetings.
• Provide organized raw footage and technical input to post‑production teams.

Required profile

• Relevant diploma or degree in Film, Media Production or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience in video and film production, including planning, shooting and post‑production collaboration.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear visual stories.
• Strong attention to detail, time‑management and ability to work in fast‑paced production environments.
• Experience with industrial or technology‑focused media projects is a plus.
