Sales Development Representative

About the role

The Sales Development Representative will join United Africa Logistics in Addis Ababa to drive new business opportunities within the freight and supply‑chain market. Working on‑site, you will identify, qualify and engage prospective carriers, forwarders and cargo owners, supporting the sales team to expand the client base.

Key responsibilities

• Research and target accounts in the logistics and transportation sector.
• Generate leads through field visits, outbound calls, emails and networking events.
• Schedule meetings, conduct product demos and follow up on inbound inquiries.
• Maintain accurate lead records and track activity against pipeline targets.
• Collaborate with operations to ensure proposals match logistical capabilities.

Required profile

• High school diploma required; a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field preferred.
• Strong B2B sales and business‑development experience.
• Excellent communication skills for professional client interaction.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to undertake regular field visits in Addis Ababa.
• Experience in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment.
