SCADA/HMI Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented SCADA/HMI Engineer to design, develop, and maintain Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Human‑Machine Interface (HMI) systems for industrial processes. The successful candidate will ensure reliable automation solutions, integrate hardware and software, and optimise system performance and user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design and configure SCADA/HMI systems to meet client specifications.
• Develop user‑friendly graphical interfaces, dashboards, and reporting tools.
• Create control strategies and integrate systems with PLCs, RTUs, and field devices.
• Lead installation, configuration, and commissioning at client sites.
• Perform system testing, debugging, and provide hands‑on training to client personnel.
• Conduct regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades to minimise downtime.
• Provide technical support and act as a liaison between clients and internal teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Control Systems or related field.
• 3+ years of experience with SCADA/HMI systems and automation technologies.
• Hands‑on experience with PLC programming and industrial control systems.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as OPC, Modbus, and Profibus.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity practices for industrial environments.
