Senior Advocacy, Partnership & Organizational Development Specialist

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking a senior professional to lead advocacy, partnership and organisational development activities for the Nutrition Sensitive Agriculture & Food System (NSA & FS) project in Ethiopia. Based in Addis Ababa, the specialist will support the Ministry of Agriculture in designing and implementing nutrition‑focused human‑resource structures and strengthening governance across federal, regional and woreda levels.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive human‑resource needs assessments and develop actionable work plans.
• Design and implement advocacy and partnership strategies aligned with Ethiopia’s Food System Transformation Vision 2030.
• Develop guidelines, tools and capacity‑building plans for organisational development and change management.
• Provide technical leadership to ensure successful delivery of project objectives, including resource mobilisation structures.
• Collaborate with Save the Children USA, Ministry of Agriculture and other key stakeholders to coordinate policy and implementation efforts.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in advocacy, partnership building and organisational development within the public sector or international development.
• Proven ability to work with government ministries and multi‑sectoral teams.
• Strong analytical skills to assess HR gaps and design capacity‑building interventions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.

Required skills

• Familiarity with the AGMIS‑2 data management system.
