Senior Associate, Survey Programming (SurveyCTO)

About the role

Inkomoko is seeking a Senior Associate, Survey Programming to become the go‑to expert for converting paper‑based survey instruments into high‑quality, field‑ready digital tools. Working regionally with teams in Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Ethiopia and Chad, you will ensure that survey logic accurately captures program indicators and that data collection is reliable and analysis‑ready.

Key responsibilities

• Translate draft survey instruments into fully programmed, logic‑driven digital forms using SurveyCTO.
• Implement robust skip patterns, relevance/constraint logic, validations, calculations, case‑management and multi‑language versions.
• Design forms optimized for offline data collection in low‑connectivity field environments.
• Collaborate with the Business Analytics Manager, MERL team and program staff to align survey design with indicator requirements.
• Test, debug and quality‑assure surveys to ensure error‑free, user‑friendly experiences.
• Maintain clean, analysis‑ready datasets and support downstream data analysis.

Required profile

• Strong technical expertise in survey programming and data quality assurance.
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work across technical and non‑technical teams.
• Experience collaborating with multi‑country teams in a regional context.
• Senior‑level experience in monitoring, evaluation, research or data collection.
