Senior Digital Payment Devices Administrator for Adama District

About the role

The Senior Digital Payment Devices Administrator is responsible for the end‑to‑end administration, monitoring, maintenance and operational support of the bank’s digital payment infrastructure, including ATMs, POS terminals and other electronic payment channels. The role ensures these devices remain available, reliable, secure and perform optimally while complying with regulatory and internal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain ATMs, POS terminals and related electronic payment devices.
• Monitor system logs, respond to incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and implement preventative measures.
• Provide hardware and peripheral support, troubleshooting physical infrastructure and related equipment.
• Execute system recovery actions to minimise business impact during outages.
• Coordinate with vendors for maintenance, upgrades and enhancements.
• Manage network connectivity and communication services required for digital payment devices.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards and bank policies.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver secure and uninterrupted digital payment services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in digital payment device administration or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of incident and problem management, including root‑cause analysis and preventive actions.
• Expertise in hardware support and peripheral equipment troubleshooting.
• Proven ability to perform system recovery after failures or outages.
• Understanding of regulatory and security standards for digital payment channels.
• Effective communication, teamwork and stakeholder engagement skills.
