Senior Supply Chain Coordinator

About the role

The Senior Supply Chain Coordinator will ensure an effective and accountable supply chain support system in line with Save the Children’s global and Ethiopia policies. Based in Dessie, the role covers operations in the Amhara, Tigray and Afar regions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership for development and emergency supply chain functions across the three regional states.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive supply chain plan, identifying required resources.
• Manage and support supply chain staff, defining clear structures, responsibilities and performance objectives.
• Advise senior management on supply chain issues and ensure alignment with country and global policies.
• Collaborate with the Country Supply Chain Head, procurement, warehouse, fleet and construction managers to guarantee efficient programme delivery.
• Oversee procurement, fleet, warehousing and asset management practices.
• Ensure compliance with fraud, bribery, corruption and child safeguarding policies, reporting any concerns promptly.

Required profile

• Grade 3A1 or equivalent with several years of supply chain experience in humanitarian or development settings.
• Proven leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Ability to work in challenging environments and coordinate multi‑regional activities.
• Understanding of procurement, fleet, warehousing and asset management processes.
• Familiarity with anti‑fraud, anti‑corruption and child safeguarding procedures.
