Senior Surveyor - Consulting Services

About the role

China Rail Transit Engineering Consultancy (CRTEC) is seeking a highly qualified Senior Surveyor to provide consulting services for the review and preparation of the Design, Construction Management System (CMS) and Maintenance Management System (MMS) manuals across key functional areas. The duty station is Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with possible field visits, and the contract runs for two years, renewable based on performance.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Lead Author for the Surveying Specification
• Review and prepare the CMS and MMS manuals
• Prepare surveying policy, specifications, manuals and guidelines

Required profile

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying or a related field
• At least 18 years of general experience in road construction and/or design projects
• 10 years as a Senior Surveyor on road construction/design projects (10 projects)
• Experience preparing surveying policy, specifications, manuals and guidelines (2 manuals/guidelines/specifications)
• International experience of at least 3 countries

Required skills

• Working knowledge of the latest surveying software and technologies (5 projects)
• Surveying specification writing
