Service Manager – Automotive Service Center

About the role
We are seeking a Service Manager to lead the overall operations of our automotive service centre. The role ensures efficient workshop processes, high repair quality, strong financial performance and strict compliance with OEM standards and safety requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Manage daily service centre activities including reception, diagnosis, maintenance, repairs, PDI, quality control and vehicle delivery.
- Ensure compliance with OEM service standards, technical procedures, warranty policies and safety regulations.
- Oversee workshop capacity, job allocation, workflow, WIP, technician productivity and vehicle turnaround time.
- Drive service revenue, profitability, efficiency, utilisation and vehicle throughput.
- Lead, coach and develop Service Advisors, Workshop Supervisors, Technicians and support staff.
- Maintain high repair quality, accurate diagnosis and reduce repeat repairs through effective final inspection.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and resolve complaints promptly.
- Coordinate with the Parts Department to secure parts availability and minimise downtime.
- Manage warranty operations, ensuring accurate and timely claim submission.
- Oversee NEV/PHEV service operations, including appropriate diagnostic equipment and technician competencies.
- Support new model introductions, technical campaigns, recalls and PDI activities.
- Identify training needs and arrange technical training with OEM.
- Maintain workshop safety, 5S standards, tools and equipment.
- Prepare regular operational and KPI reports and implement corrective actions.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Automotive/Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 7–10 years of automotive after‑sales/service experience, with at least 3 years in a Service Manager, Workshop Manager or equivalent leadership role.
- Strong experience in automotive dealership and workshop operations, including NEV/PHEV or electric vehicle service.
- Proven knowledge of workshop operations, diagnostics, warranty, quality control and customer service.
- Excellent leadership, team management, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
