Structural Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Structural Engineer to join our construction team in Addis Ababa. The role involves reviewing structural designs, supervising on‑site works, and ensuring compliance with codes and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Review and prepare structural designs, calculations, and drawings.
• Supervise construction activities to guarantee quality and adherence to approved specifications.
• Conduct structural inspections and provide technical recommendations.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, and project teams.
• Resolve engineering issues that arise during construction.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company procedures.
• Prepare technical reports and project documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience in structural engineering, preferably on building projects.
• Good knowledge of Ethiopian Building Code Standards and relevant international standards.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as ETABS.
• Experience with SAFE for foundation design.
• Familiarity with SAP2000 or similar analysis tools.
