About the role

The Admissions Counselor serves as a primary point of contact for prospective undergraduate students and their families, guiding them through the college selection and enrollment process at Drexel University. This full‑time, hybrid role combines relationship building, application management, and on‑site recruitment activities.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit first‑year and transfer students by visiting high schools, attending virtual and in‑person college fairs, and participating in community events within an assigned territory.
• Conduct informational sessions and one‑on‑one meetings with prospective students, families, and school counselors.
• Manage the inquiry and applicant pool, ensuring all required documents are submitted for evaluation and financial‑aid processing.
• Review domestic and international applications, make admissions decisions or recommendations, and communicate outcomes.
• Travel extensively during peak recruitment periods, both locally and nationally, including evenings and weekends.
• Collaborate with campus partners to provide accurate program information and maintain regular inquiry and applicant reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Experience in higher‑education recruitment, admissions, or related student‑services roles.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with diverse audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and travel frequently.
