Amharic Audio Transcription Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an Amharic Audio Transcription Specialist to convert recorded speech into highly accurate, verbatim transcripts for AI training datasets. The work is fully remote and offers flexible hours, allowing you to fit the tasks around your schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Listen to single‑speaker and multi‑speaker audio files and produce verbatim transcripts with ≥98 % accuracy.
• Timestamp each transcript segment with alignment errors under 500 ms.
• Identify and label speakers in conversations involving two to three participants.
• Annotate non‑speech events such as laughter, background noise, interruptions, and unintelligible segments.
• Follow established transcription guidelines and deliver completed work by agreed deadlines.

Required profile

• Native‑level fluency in Amharic.
• Basic or junior experience in audio transcription.
• Ability to capture filler words, repetitions, stutters, and false starts.
• Reliable, detail‑oriented and able to meet quality standards consistently.

Required skills

• Proficiency with browser‑based transcription tools.
