Biometercian – Digital Workplace Support

About the role

The Biometercian will provide essential digital workplace support for World Vision’s food assistance programme in Ethiopia. Acting as the first point of contact, you will ensure beneficiaries and staff receive timely technical assistance through web and mobile applications.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical support contact for end‑users via phone, email, MS Teams, and Skype.
• Log, track, and resolve incidents in the S‑MAX ticketing system and generate activity reports.
• Develop checklists, scripts, and knowledge‑base articles for routine issues.
• Provide emergency remote support using TeamViewer, MS Teams, or on‑site visits.
• Manage user access services, including creating, resetting, and unlocking Windows passwords.
• Produce video tutorials and brief documents for staff training.
• Conduct regular office visits and quarterly monitoring trips to operational areas.
• Support upgrades and maintenance of in‑house systems (FAMS, ORT, ICT4CP, bulk SMS, Fleet, Security Management) and adopted platforms (Horizon, Workday, ProVision, Concur, Sun6, WV Central).
• Configure and support Office 365 tools (Outlook, OneDrive, Teams) and virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, MS Teams).
• Lead deployment of new software images, hardware, and ensure proper implementation on servers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in first‑level IT support, preferably in a humanitarian or non‑profit setting.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple locations.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
