Branch Manager

About the role

Hibret Bank is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead its Awi/Agew location. This full‑time, on‑site position is responsible for overseeing all branch activities, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily branch operations, including cash handling, transaction control, and sales of banking products.
• Lead, coach, and evaluate branch staff, setting performance targets and fostering a collaborative environment.
• Monitor financial performance, prepare operational reports, and manage branch risk.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory standards, and anti‑money‑laundering procedures.
• Develop relationships with customers and the local community to identify new business opportunities.
• Support marketing and outreach initiatives to expand the branch’s portfolio.

Required profile

• Solid background in retail and commercial banking operations, including cash management, deposits, loans, and branch controls.
• Proven leadership and people‑management abilities, with experience supervising teams.
• Strong customer relationship management skills and the ability to resolve escalated issues.
• Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced certifications are a plus.
• Several years of progressive banking experience, including prior supervisory or branch leadership roles.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Awi/Agew and adapt to changing business priorities.
