Brewery Nurse – Clinical & Occupational Health

About the role

The Brewery Nurse provides comprehensive clinical and occupational health services to employees at the brewery in Bedele. The role ensures safe working conditions, rapid response to injuries, and promotes overall health and well‑being within the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Take vital signs, assess health status, and deliver appropriate treatment to employees.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of medical equipment and clinic supplies.
• Provide first‑aid care, manage minor injuries, and coordinate referrals for more serious cases.
• Prepare employees for diagnostic tests and assist physicians during examinations.
• Perform or assist with minor surgical procedures as required.
• Participate in occupational health and safety programs, report unsafe conditions, and restock first‑aid kits.
• Ensure emergency response readiness, including ambulance coordination and drill participation.
• Implement infection prevention measures and respond to outbreaks following national and international protocols.
• Document all employee encounters, treatments, and outcomes accurately.
• Educate staff on health promotion, preventive measures, and workplace safety.

Required profile

• Licensed Nurse with at least 2 years of clinical experience.
• Diploma in Clinical Nursing or higher.
• Familiarity with occupational health and safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with the clinic head.
