Camera Operator

About the role

DomainLink Technologies PLC is seeking a full‑time Camera Operator to join its on‑site production team in Addis Ababa. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining camera equipment for a variety of video and TV projects, ensuring high‑quality visual output that meets creative and technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate cameras for live and recorded productions.
• Adjust camera angles, movements, focus, and exposure during shoots.
• Coordinate with directors, producers, and other crew members to achieve desired visual storytelling.
• Manage basic lighting setups for studio and on‑location shoots.
• Prepare and maintain camera equipment, troubleshoot technical issues on set, and follow safety procedures.
• Support efficient production workflows and contribute to post‑production hand‑over.

Required profile

• Strong experience with camera operation and various camera equipment.
• Knowledge of lighting techniques and basic studio/on‑location lighting setups.
• Hands‑on experience in video production from pre‑production to on‑set execution.
• Familiarity with TV production environments and collaboration with directors and technical crews.
• Excellent attention to detail, visual storytelling sense, and framing composition.
• Ability to work on‑site, adapt to fast‑paced schedules, and follow instructions accurately.
• Professional communication and teamwork skills.
