Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

About the role

Temer Properties, a leading real‑estate development firm in Addis Ababa, is seeking a strategic and visionary Chief Financial Officer. The CFO will provide financial leadership for the corporate office and group operations, guiding finance strategy, reporting, treasury, governance and digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Group’s financial strategy aligned with long‑term growth plans.
• Advise the CEO and Board on capital structure, investments, M&A and expansion initiatives.
• Lead preparation of IFRS‑compliant consolidated financial statements and management reporting dashboards.
• Oversee annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and performance variance analysis.
• Manage cash‑flow planning, working‑capital optimisation, banking relationships and foreign‑currency exposure.
• Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax law, regulatory frameworks and internal control standards.
• Lead internal and external audit processes and mitigate financial and operational risks.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in senior financial leadership, preferably within construction or infrastructure development.
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax regulations and IFRS reporting requirements.
• Proven ability to act as a trusted advisor to CEOs and Boards.
• Demonstrated track record in cost management, cash‑flow optimisation and capital allocation.
