Consortium Manager

About the role

Caritas Czech Republic is seeking a senior Consortium Manager to serve as its in‑country representative in Addis Ababa. The role carries full‑time responsibility for the day‑to‑day implementation of a high‑profile humanitarian project, ensuring delivery on schedule, within budget, and according to the approved logical framework.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily implementation of all project outputs, monitoring quality, timeline, and budget compliance.
• Act as the primary liaison for Czech consortium partners and represent Caritas Czech Republic with Caritas Ethiopia, government bodies, and other external stakeholders.
• Organise and lead project governance meetings, including the Project Steering Committee.
• Monitor in‑country budget utilisation, flagging financial or operational risks to headquarters promptly.
• Prepare regular reports and maintain communication with CCR headquarters on progress, risks, and emerging issues.
• Ensure safeguarding standards (PSEA, child protection, duty of care) are upheld by the project team and partners.
• Support sustainability planning by formalising partnership agreements and embedding results into partner institutions.

Required profile

• Extensive experience managing large‑scale, multi‑stakeholder humanitarian or development projects.
• Proven ability to work under the line management of regional and programme coordinators while maintaining strong local relationships.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with donors, government officials, and NGOs.
• Strong analytical mindset to identify risks and propose corrective actions.
