Content Developer

About the role

Footprint, a strategic communications agency, is looking for a full‑time Content Developer to join its hybrid team in Addis Ababa. The role focuses on creating marketing content that aligns with client brand strategies across campaigns, presentations, digital channels, and internal communications.

Key responsibilities

• Research topics and draft clear, audience‑focused content for various marketing and communication initiatives.
• Write, edit, and structure materials for campaigns, presentations, digital platforms, and internal communications.
• Collaborate with designers, video producers, and strategists to ensure consistency and clarity of messaging.
• Adapt complex ideas into concise, accessible messages.
• Maintain and organize content libraries.
• Assist with basic project coordination related to content delivery.

Required profile

• Strong written and verbal English and Amharic communication skills.
• Experience in content development for marketing or communication projects.
• Instructional design or technical writing ability to structure information logically.
• Excellent attention to detail, especially grammar, tone, and consistency.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, manage time, and handle multiple deadlines.
• Familiarity with marketing and branding concepts.
• Relevant academic background in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Linguistics, or equivalent experience.
