Content Writer – Creative Copy & AI Prompt Engineer

About the role

Berry is seeking a full‑time Content Writer to join its on‑site team in Addis Ababa. You will craft compelling copy for a variety of client touchpoints while leveraging AI‑assisted tools to boost productivity and creativity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop original, engaging content for ads, social media, blogs, scripts, emails, and brand copy.
• Design and refine AI prompts to generate high‑quality outputs using platforms such as ChatGPT and Claude.
• Collaborate with creative and account teams to translate client briefs into persuasive copy.
• Maintain and adapt brand voice guidelines across multiple sectors.
• Conduct research to ensure content is accurate, culturally relevant, and audience‑appropriate.
• Review and edit copy for clarity, tone, grammar, and strategic alignment.
• Support new‑business pitches with creative concepts and content strategies.
• Stay up‑to‑date with content trends, platform best practices, and emerging AI tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in content writing, copywriting, or a similar creative role.
• Strong command of language, storytelling, and brand voice.
• Demonstrated experience with AI writing tools and prompt engineering.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines across diverse client portfolios.
• Experience in a creative, advertising, or branding environment is a plus.
