Country Coordinator, Collaborative Surveillance

About the role

Resolve to Save Lives (RTSL) is seeking a Country Coordinator to lead the Collaborative Surveillance portfolio in Ethiopia. The role serves as the primary focal point for managing the program, ensuring that health data from multiple sources is integrated and used to support rapid detection, notification, and response to public health threats.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership focused on data‑use and epidemic intelligence.
• Manage stakeholder and leadership engagement with the Ethiopian Public Health Institute, Ministry of Health, regional health bureaus, and partner organizations.
• Oversee subnational implementation activities to ensure alignment with national surveillance strategies.
• Ensure timely delivery of project milestones, outputs, and reporting requirements.
• Supervise embedded Technical Advisors and consultants, coordinating their activities across the portfolio.
• Manage surveillance‑related activities, including data integration, workforce development, and governance support.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in public health program coordination or management.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑stakeholder initiatives in a government or international development context.
• Strong understanding of epidemic preparedness, surveillance systems, and data‑driven decision making.
