Driver for CESVI in Addis Ababa

About the role

CESVI is seeking a reliable driver to support its operations in Addis Ababa. The position starts in July 2026 and lasts for one year with a possible extension. The driver will provide transport for staff and visitors, ensuring safe and timely travel across program areas.

Key responsibilities

• Drive CESVI vehicles according to the schedule set by the Country Logistics and Supply Chain Coordinator.
• Perform daily security checks (fuel, oil, battery, tire pressure, etc.) before and after each trip.
• Complete weekly technical check‑lists covering electrical, lubrication, cooling, power‑train, brake, steering and suspension systems.
• Maintain accurate journey records in the vehicle log book.
• Report any faults, damages or accidents immediately following CESVI procedures.
• Keep the vehicle clean, tidy and used only for approved CESVI purposes.
• Adhere to all traffic regulations and CESVI driver conduct rules.

Required profile

• Works under the direction of the Country Logistics and Supply Chain Coordinator.
• Demonstrates safe driving practices and treats passengers respectfully.
• Signs and complies with CESVI’s vehicle use policy.

Required skills

• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to conduct basic vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
• Record‑keeping skills for journey logs.
