About the role

The school is seeking a dedicated Economics Teacher to deliver engaging, age‑appropriate lessons to secondary students in Debre Markos. This full‑time, on‑site position involves planning, teaching, and assessing students while fostering a supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver curriculum-aligned lessons on Economics and Business Economics.
• Prepare instructional materials, assignments, and assessments.
• Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain an organized, inclusive classroom and manage behavior effectively.
• Integrate real‑world examples to illustrate economic concepts.
• Participate in staff meetings, curriculum development, and school activities.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics, Business, Education, or a related field.
• Relevant teaching certification or licensure as required by local regulations.
• Strong subject‑matter knowledge in Economics and Business Economics.
• Ability to create clear lesson plans and assessments aligned with standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to professional growth and collaborative practice.
• Prior secondary‑level teaching experience preferred but not mandatory.
