EU CARE4HEALTH End‑Project Evaluation & Audit Consultant (6‑month)

About the role

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) is seeking an experienced consultant to lead the end‑line evaluation, audit readiness and closure activities for the EU‑funded CARE4Health project in Ethiopia. This six‑month consultancy, based in Addis Ababa with occasional travel, will ensure the project is closed in a systematic, documented and audit‑ready manner.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day activities for the end‑line evaluation, including data collection, analysis and reporting.
• Prepare audit‑readiness documentation and support final financial and technical audits.
• Compile final project reports, closure documentation and disseminate findings to stakeholders.
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding construction, procurement and service delivery issues.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and ensure compliance with UNICEF and donor standards.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in social sciences, public health, statistics or a related field.
• Minimum five years of professional experience in public health, sexual and reproductive health planning, project evaluation or audit.
• Demonstrated experience working in conflict‑affected or underserved settings, preferably in Ethiopia.
• Strong knowledge of health information systems such as DHIS2 and eCHIS.
