Field Project Associate – Mobility Tracking (Contractor)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking two Field Project Associates to support the Data and Research Unit in Ethiopia. The role focuses on mobility tracking, data collection, and project monitoring for displacement‑related research activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of project activities.
• Verify data quality, apply corrective measures, and ensure quality control of collected information.
• Retrieve, compile, analyse, and present data on specific project topics.
• Develop work plans and activity schedules for data collection, processing and analysis in coordination with the DRU team in Addis Ababa.
• Draft status reports, identify shortfalls, and propose remedial actions.
• Facilitate regional endorsement and communication with government focal points.
• Prepare correspondence, reports, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables and presentations.
• Respond to complex information requests, maintain records, and organise meetings, workshops and training sessions.
• Participate in meetings and conferences, coordinating with local authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, donors and other stakeholders.
• Monitor implementing partners and report non‑compliances.
• Gather timely information on displacement population mobility and movement flows.
