Field Security Coordinator

About the role

The Field Security Coordinator supports the Response Security Manager in planning and implementing effective security measures for Response Office programs. This role ensures that security systems align with national contexts and organizational policies, and acts as the security lead in the manager’s absence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the office security strategy in line with World Vision security policy.
• Conduct security risk assessments, maintain country risk ratings, and ensure core security requirements are met.
• Provide leadership to country security focal points and coordinate security operations with the Response Manager.
• Represent World Vision at local NGO security network meetings and disseminate relevant information to staff.
• Design and deliver capacity‑building plans for security management based on local risk assessments.
• Prepare regular security reports, document incidents, and conduct performance reviews of field security focal persons.

Required profile

• No previous criminal record or convictions.
• Successful completion of the HEAT training course (or approved OCS equivalent) within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to act as the Response Security Manager when required.
