Finance Division Head

About the role

The Finance Division Head will lead all financial functions of the SACCO, ensuring robust financial management, regulatory compliance, and accurate reporting to support strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute financial strategies, oversee cash flow and monitor performance.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and long‑term financial planning.
• Manage treasury activities, liquidity, banking relationships and investment portfolios.
• Maintain accounting records, perform reconciliations and enforce internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with laws, standards, audits and statutory reporting requirements.
• Identify financial risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Supervise, mentor and evaluate finance team members.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and act on recommendations.
• Provide financial advice to senior management and support strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 5–8 years progressive finance/accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in SACCOs or micro‑finance institutions is an advantage.
