Financial Administrator – Conditional Cash Transfer

About the role

Tiko is seeking a Financial Administrator in Ethiopia to serve as the operational backbone of its local finance function. The role ensures rigorous financial controls, transparent audit trails, and compliance while supporting fast‑moving field operations that deliver health and economic services to adolescent girls.

Key responsibilities

• Verify and record bills and journal entries in the accounting system, ensuring tax compliance, proper documentation, proof of delivery, and auditability.
• Enforce Delegation of Authority (DOA) and procurement regulations, guaranteeing that all processed invoices follow internal accounting processes.
• Reconcile complex field‑level data, including conditional cash transfer schedules and shelter operational audits.
• Maintain sub‑ledger integrity and oversee the procurement‑to‑pay workflow.
• Support statutory compliance and prepare documentation for internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with high‑precision financial data.
• Experience in nonprofit or development finance environments is preferred.
• Ability to act as a gatekeeper, ensuring every ledger entry is backed by solid evidence.
• Excellent organizational skills and capacity to manage multiple financial streams.
