Housekeeper

About the role

The Housekeeper will join the team at Port Hotel Latvia, a spa and conference hotel situated in a pine forest. This full‑time, on‑site position is based in Bahir Dar and focuses on maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness across guest rooms and public areas.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors and public spaces following hotel standards.
• Make beds, change linens, restock amenities and ensure rooms are ready for new guests.
• Vacuum, mop and polish floors, and handle routine deep‑cleaning tasks.
• Manage laundry operations including washing, drying, folding and storing linens and towels.
• Report maintenance issues promptly and ensure proper use and storage of cleaning products and equipment.
• Adhere to health, safety and hygiene regulations at all times.

Required profile

• Strong housekeeping experience with a focus on high hygiene standards.
• Good communication and customer‑service skills for polite guest interaction.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail and ability to manage time efficiently.
• Willingness to follow training, safety guidelines and hotel procedures.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend and lift moderate weights throughout the shift.
