HR Intern (Human Resources)

About the role

The Danish Refugee Council is offering a 12‑month HR internship in Addis Ababa. This position provides newly graduated candidates with hands‑on experience supporting the HR team while contributing to humanitarian operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain complete and confidential personnel files.
• Coordinate written exams and interview schedules for various positions.
• Handle staff insurance matters in an organized, professional manner.
• Support orientation sessions for new staff.
• Ensure staff registration in the government pension scheme and update personal records.
• Issue staff identification cards and perform any additional tasks assigned by the line manager.

Required profile

• 0‑1 year of relevant experience.
• High integrity, proactive attitude, stable and robust character, and strong teamwork orientation.
• Excellent communication skills and a proven commitment to accountability.
• Diploma or BA in Management, HR Management, or a related business field.
• Basic English communication skills and fluency in Amharic.
