Human Resources (HR) Internship – Addis Ababa

About the role

The Danish Refugee Council is seeking a motivated Human Resources Intern to support its HR team in Addis Ababa. This 12‑month internship offers a hands‑on learning experience for recent graduates interested in humanitarian HR operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining complete and confidential personnel files.
• Coordinate written exams and interview schedules for open positions.
• Support staff insurance matters in an organized manner.
• Help organise orientation sessions for new hires.
• Ensure staff registration in the government pension scheme and update records.
• Issue staff identification cards and perform other tasks as directed by the HR Officer.

Required profile

• 0‑1 year of relevant experience or recent graduate.
• High integrity, proactive attitude, and strong teamwork skills.
• Excellent communication abilities in English and fluency in Amharic.
• Commitment to accountability and ethical standards, including safeguarding policies.
