Human Resources Management Intern – Staff Benefits Unit

About the role

The Staff Benefits Unit of the Economic Commission for Africa is looking for a motivated Human Resources Management Intern. The intern will support routine administrative tasks, documentation management, and coordination with the Strategy and Information Management Unit to ensure accurate record keeping.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare routine data summaries and tracking sheets for unit reporting.
• Assist the Strategy and Information Management Unit in auditing archived files.
• Review archived records to verify completeness and proper documentation.
• Identify missing or inconsistent files and support follow‑up actions.
• Collect, compile, and submit monthly inputs and reports on behalf of the unit.
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or completed a graduate programme, or in the final year of a bachelor’s programme.
• Educational background in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Information Management or a related field is desirable.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French or another UN official language is an advantage.
