Human Resources Officer

About the role

The Human Resources Officer will support Tewos Technology Solutions’ BPO and technology teams operating on U.S. time zones from an on‑site office in Addis Ababa. The role ensures smooth day‑to‑day HR operations, workforce stability and compliance with Ethiopian labour regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage recruitment, candidate coordination, onboarding and off‑boarding processes.
• Track attendance, shift schedules and maintain accurate HR documentation.
• Handle employee relations, conflict resolution, performance and probation follow‑up.
• Process payroll, incentive inputs and ensure policy compliance.
• Deliver training, employee engagement initiatives and produce HR reports.
• Collaborate with BPO operations during U.S‑aligned working hours to provide timely HR support.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in HR management with day‑to‑day operational experience.
• Proficiency in developing and maintaining HR policies aligned with organizational goals and Ethiopian labour law.
• Demonstrated ability in employee relations, conflict resolution and fostering a respectful workplace.
• Experience in job description development, role profiling, recruitment and onboarding.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills with attention to confidentiality.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field; professional HR certification is a plus.
• Experience in technology, outsourcing or BPO environments is beneficial.
