IBM QRadar Administrator / Consultant (Onsite, Ethiopia)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IBM QRadar Administrator/Consultant to support enterprise security operations and SIEM deployments for a client in Ethiopia. The role involves administering, configuring, maintaining and optimizing QRadar environments in a full‑time onsite capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and monitor the health of IBM QRadar deployments.
• Onboard, integrate and troubleshoot log sources.
• Develop, fine‑tune use cases and correlation rules.
• Investigate offenses and support incident response.
• Monitor performance and optimize QRadar components.
• Manage event processors, consoles and managed hosts.
• Perform backup, recovery, patch management and system maintenance.
• Configure user management, RBAC and security hardening.
• Conduct security monitoring, threat detection and alert triage.
• Document configurations, procedures and incident reports.
• Collaborate with client teams and security stakeholders.

Required profile

• 7+ years of hands‑on experience with IBM QRadar SIEM.
• Strong background in QRadar administration and health monitoring.
• Experience with log source integration, parsing and use‑case development.
• Proven ability to analyze offenses and conduct incident investigations.
• Knowledge of Windows, Linux, networking and security operations.
• Experience working in SOC or enterprise security environments.
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Ethiopia.
