ICLA Social Support

About the role

The ICLA Social Support role assists the Information, Counseling and Legal Assistance (ICLA) team in delivering day‑to‑day services to internally displaced persons (IDPs) at the Karsadula and Guradhamole sites and the surrounding host community. The position acts as a liaison between beneficiaries and ICLA officers, ensuring smooth implementation of programme activities.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact between the community and ICLA staff, relaying information as directed.
• Support the organization of mobile group information sessions, including material preparation, participant registration, and venue arrangement.
• Maintain up‑to‑date communication records, contact lists, and tracking sheets for beneficiaries.
• Assist with administrative case‑management tasks such as filing, data entry, and document organization.
• Coordinate logistical aspects of outreach activities, including venue setup and distribution of IEC materials.
• Ensure compliance with NRC policies, donor agreements, work plans, budgets, and procurement procedures.
• Provide any other tasks requested by the line manager.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or higher diploma.
• Basic communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience supporting community mobilisation or similar humanitarian activities is an asset.
• Ability to follow instructions, organise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Positive, respectful attitude and willingness to learn.
