IT Administrator

About the role

People First Consult is recruiting an IT Administrator on behalf of a confidential manufacturing client. The role manages day-to-day IT operations at the OpCo level, keeps local technology services reliable, secure and available, provides first-level support to users and implements Group IT policies and transformation initiatives locally.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain local networks, internet, Wi-Fi, switches, firewalls and endpoints; monitor servers and coordinate maintenance, repairs, licences and vendors
• Keep an accurate IT asset inventory and infrastructure documentation
• Act as first point of contact for users in Ethiopia, troubleshoot devices and applications, log and track incidents and escalate specialist issues to Group IT or the Syspro administrator
• Implement Group security policies, coordinate endpoint protection, patching, MFA and access reviews, and maintain audit evidence
• Support Syspro ERP incidents, change requests, user access requests and release testing
• Translate Group IT initiatives into local plans, track deliverables and report progress against the Group IT roadmap
• Engage with country leadership, Finance, HR and Production, and prepare a monthly country IT report

Required profile

• Strong networking, infrastructure and endpoint management skills
• Experience with Microsoft 365, identity management, cybersecurity controls and backup operations
• Good incident management and vendor coordination skills
• Desirable: manufacturing or production environment experience, ERP support experience (e.g. Syspro)
